I was happy to feature Alex Norris this week over at Boys on the Brink. Alex is a writer in his early twenties and published his debut novel in 2013. At the time of writing this book, he was himself a student at Cambridge where the story is set, lending a real authenticity to his descriptions of the city and university life.

Angel is without doubt one of the most original novels I’ve read in a while. It follows twenty-year-old Lewis Blake as he seeks to do his bit for the homeless community of Cambridge, risking his education, his friendships, and his own morals in the process. If you haven’t discovered this book yet, be sure to head over to Boys on the Brink where you can check out my review, sample an excerpt, and even enter to win yourself a copy!
